To back up your position with 3-4 strong points of supporting argumentation is the thumb rule of any debate. On 14th March, Grade XII students had it all in the English class, from brief team discussions, silent preparation, and creation of case split to the development of arguments. The research relevant to the prose piece ‘Lost Spring’ by Anees Jung triggered students to develop a debate statement and eliminate ideas that didn’t fit into their team’s strategic line. The debate ended by explicitly showcasing the theme, the plight of street children forced into labour early in life and denied the opportunity of schooling and the paradoxes in the society we live in.
