Ordinal numbers were introduced to Grade I students as a foundation for understanding the order and succession of objects or events. Ordinal numbers assist children in comprehending ideas such as “first,” “second,” “third,” and so on. This is required for routine tasks such as lining up, taking turns, or following instructions in a specific order. This allows students to describe the arrangement of objects or people in various circumstances. On the 13th of July, Grade I competed in a variety of events, including determining who finished the race and who came in first, second, and third place. They had a lot of fun participating in these games and learning about ordinal numbers.
