Equality Club
The objective of the first quarter of the Equality Club is to build an understanding of gender inequality that exists in society due to societal norms and traditions. The goal is to get students to recognize the gender stereotypes that are instilled in us from a young age and understand their social, political and economic implications. Biases in media that reinforce gender stereotypes, patriarchy and patriarchal society, lack of gender equality in the workforce were discussed through a series of activities.
