On 1st of July, as a part of the PBL inquiry, “What does it take to make or break a shelter?” our students of Grade V created various blueprints of makeshift shelters using the materials available in the forest. This activity deepened their understanding about the need for shelters in a given situation. Students learnt to be resourceful within the constraints of the situation which in turn enhanced their thinking skills. The learners also enhanced their presentation skills by presenting their designs to the class. The main aim of this activity was to help the students gain conceptual understanding of the term shelter.
