It is one of the key factors that leads to success and helps individuals achieve their goals in an organized and effective manner. A disciplined student knows how to manage time wisely, follow rules, and remain focused on studies. In school, discipline teaches students to respect their teachers, follow instructions, and complete tasks on time. It also helps develop positive habits such as punctuality, dedication, and responsibility. Without self-discipline, it becomes difficult to excel in academics and overcome challenges in life. Discipline is not limited to studies alone; it is equally important in shaping a person's character. A well-disciplined student treats others with respect, behaves courteously, and maintains a positive attitude. These qualities contribute to strong relationships and a well-rounded personality. Moreover, discipline improves concentration and helps students avoid distractions. In today's digital age, where mobile phones, social media, and online games can easily divert attention, self-discipline enables students to stay focused on their priorities and make better use of their time. In conclusion, discipline forms the foundation of a successful and meaningful life. By cultivating disciplined habits from an early age, students can achieve their aspirations, contribute positively to society, and grow into responsible citizens. - [THE COSMIC HUNT Suryadevara Yashmita Grade-VID](https://suchitra.in/news/the-cosmic-hunt-suryadevara-yashmita-grade-vid/): One morning, a hunter walked through the forest carrying a spear and a clay pot. He was hungry and had not eaten a substantial meal for many days. As he followed a trail at the foot of the mountains, he spotted a deer drinking from a stream. It was a mother deer. The hunter thought she would provide enough food to satisfy his hunger, so he crept closer and raised his spear. But the deer heard him. Startled, she leapt away and raced up into the mountains. As she climbed higher and higher, she accidentally caught the Sun in her antlers. Terrified, the deer continued to run across the mountaintops, carrying the Sun with her. The hunter picked up his pot and chased after her. All the while, the deer moved farther across the sky, dragging the Sun along and making the days shorter. The hunter knew he had to stop her. If the Sun were lost, there would be no daylight left in the world. At last, he came close enough to throw his spear. Just as he aimed, the mother deer sensed his presence and sprang high into the sky to escape. As she leapt, the Sun slipped from her antlers and fell behind the mountains. Day turned to night as the Sun disappeared from sight. But the deer had not jumped quickly enough. The spear struck her, releasing the magic of the Sun that still lingered within her. As she lay dying, the deer transformed into a constellation of stars. The same magic enveloped the hunter, turning him into a star as well. There he remained, with his pot at his side and his spear forever poised to be thrown, chasing the deer across the night sky. Even today, people can see the hunter pursuing the deer among the stars. During winter, the deer appears to lie upon the horizon, as though she has finally fallen. Yet she is no ordinary creature. During the days of the great hunt, she gave birth to a calf. When the days begin to grow longer once more and the Sun returns higher into the sky, the young deer can be seen wandering near the mountains, continuing the eternal story of the Cosmic Hunt. - [6th February ,2026 : our Playgroup children celebrated a joyful Flower Theme Day. I was honoured to represent Suchitra Academy as part of a team of six students where we showcased four innovative projects. I was especially proud to receive the Sustainability Impact Award (Middle School Category) by the esteemed jury . and was also appreciated for my enthusiasm and energy throughout the event Our journey began with project presentations at the school level, where our ideas were carefully reviewed and selected. The constant support and encouragement from our teachers, Ms. Sirisha Devi and Ms. Kavita, helped us prepare confidently, this played a big role in our success. A day before the exhibition, we got an amazing opportunity to visit the Nehru Science Centre. Exploring the interactive exhibits and scientific displays inspired me a lot and increased my excitement for the exhibition. On the day of the exhibition, all of us felt nervous at first because many reputed schools like Oakridge, Doon School, and Mayo College were also presenting outstanding projects. However, once we started presenting, our preparation and teamwork helped us perform extremely well. I also had the wonderful opportunity to present an overview of the STEM program at Suchitra Academy along with Sirisha Ma’am, which was a proud and memorable moment for me. During the exhibition, I learnt many new best practices like improving research methods, building better prototypes, and presenting ideas clearly. This experience has increased my confidence and taught me valuable teamwork and communication skills. It has also motivated me to work harder for our upcoming competition in Dubai and future science exhibitions. I feel proud to be a Suchitra student and excited for many more learning opportunities ahead. - [Happiness is contagious](https://suchitra.in/news/happiness-is-contagious/): Ishaanvi Kuruvemula Stage 8 Happiness is contagious What is happiness? For me, it was when I told my grandmother that I believed in her and that she could learn English; she now speaks fluently. This event, for me, was a reminder that in a world where nonchalance is the epitome of greatness, kindness goes a long way. The disease of joy Lara Jean C, a professor at Oxford University, was the first one to come to the conclusion that happiness spreads like a wildfire: fast, unstoppable, and you cannot put it out, however hard you try. In fact, a research study has recently proven that a mere compliment can boost one’s confidence by 68%! Imagine if the difference between a child slouching on a bench while trying to hide and that very child sitting up straight, waiting to be seen, was because of you. I guess that this disease has no antidote! Confidence for confidence Inspiring self-reliance in others has always kept my happy hormones going. However, the fear of being labelled “odd” or “weird” remains constant and comes in the way of reaching euphoria, but paying no attention. While confidence has its own side effects, the story shall always have a happy ending. Furthermore, to conclude, happiness is life, and inspiring self-possession is a noble pursuit of it. Overcoming hurdles by leaping over them while indoctrinating confidence in yourself first creates a society of people who hold each other together, just like the links of a beautiful golden necklace. - [After the Noise](https://suchitra.in/news/after-the-noise/): Shayna Rachel Stage 6B After the Noise The sky still trembles, holding its breath.
